Asus announced their thinnest convertible laptop ZenBook Flip S at Computex

Asus was at the Computex Taipei 2017 press conference and this time they did not talk about any tablet or home robots instead flaunted their super thin laptop ZenBook Flip S. Apart from this one they also had many other series of laptops and mobile devices. The kick off product of the Computex conference was definitely their upcoming ZenBook Flip S model :UX370UA which was praised as being the worlds’s thinnest high end convertible laptop.

Asus Zenbook Flip S has a very tiny design but this petite laptop is packed with some serious hardware. The laptop will feature Intel “Kaby Lake” based processors along with an affordable option of a Core i7-7500U giving it high end while a Core i5-7200U for making a more affordable option. The memory that will be paired with these processor will be either 8GB or 16 GB of 2133MHz memory. Its just 10.9 mm thick and claims it to be 20% slimmer than the Macbook weighing just 2.42 pounds. Asus Chairman Jonney Shih also declared that the ZenBook Flip S claims up to 11.5 hours battery life from its core processor i7 and battery can be quickly charged to 60% of its capacity in 49 minutes. The 13.3 inch screen can be folded to 360 degree as the entire screen is attached to the body of the device which ASUS calls it as ‘Ergolift’ hinges that allows the screen to flip all the way to become a tablet model. Some other features that made this model as the star of the show includes a full sized back lit keyboard, dual USB 3.1 ports, a glass covered touch pad, a webcam, a cortana compatible microphone array, a side mounted fingerprint sensor, 2 audio speaker and lastly Bluetooth 4.1. The ZenBook Flip S is expected to start at $1099 and will be available by September 2017.

The other devices that Asus announced were the ZenBook Pro and ZenBook 3 Deluxe notebooks. Zenbook Pro comes in with a 15.6 inches 4K UHD display screen, a core i7-7700HE processor with 16 GB of RAM. This one is around 18.9mm thickness and weighs 3.97 pounds. The latter one Zenbook 3 deluxe comes in 14 inch full HD display and according to Asus its the world’s 14 inch thinnest notebook with 12.9mm thickness. Its backed with a core i7-7500U processor and has up to 16 GB Ram. Both of them doesn’t have much difference in their pricing as the Zenbook Pro will come from $1299 while ZenBook S deluxe will start from $1199.
