Amazon is reportedly working on it’s new messaging app called Anytime, according to reports. Amazon has just begun talking to users and taking surveys about potential features. It is still unclear on what form the app will take and when it will be available to users.

According to reports, the Anytime app will be an “all in one feature rich service that could rival the present social networks.” The app’s main focus will be on messaging, video and voice calling, ability to share photos; users can apply filters to the photos and videos, @mention other app users, use stickers and send gifs and play games. The users can make individual or group calls, contact businesses to order products and also make reservations. According to reports and images from the surveys, the service will be highly secure and encrypted and will work on a large variety of desktop and mobile devices. A host of other exciting features will be coming to Anytime, which would make it a highly feature rich app.

Amazon seems to be getting very much into the communication markets ever since the last few months. It recently launched Chime, a video conferencing app, designed to rival the existing Skype for Business and WebEx. They also added voice calling and messaging features to Alexa enabled devices recently.

We don’t know yet when this app will come out, but it sure will be something to watch out for.

Amazon Anytime’s Competitors

Amazon’s new app could take on the big players in the market, Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. It could also give Google’s Hangouts and Allo and Apple’s iMessage a run for their money. The market is already flooded with so many messaging apps, but Amazon seems to be on a good track with some the features, so we guess it’s worth a wait to see how the app performs among all it’s competitors.
