Snapchat And SeatGeek: Buy Tickets On Snapchat Now

Snapchat is globally used multimedia messaging app founded by three former students who studied at Stanford University: Evan Spiegel, Reggie Brown, and Bobby Murphy. Its developed by Snap Incorporation and was first launched back in 2011. In the initial phase, after the launch of Snapchat, it's center of focus was photo sharing, only person-to-person. In October 2013, Snapchat's new feature STORIES took over the internet and gained a lot of public interest, making it famous worldwide. In January 2015, it came up with a hit feature DISCOVER that went viral, and the audience went crazy. Somehow Snapchat has always kept itself in the limelight for all the right reasons.  Snapchat has over 187 million users who remain active on a daily basis as of February 2018.

The latest trending news that is out on the roll is the new feature Snapchat put up on its platform: The feature where you can now buy tickets from musicians and gamers within the app. To say the least: Is there anything Snapchat cannot do? I think this is excellent news for Snapchat and all of its active users. Snapchat actually will help us a great deal to keep updated about the events happening around the world and even offers us a provision to get into one, if we choose to. Kudos.

This provision is put forth by Snapchat through its collaboration with SeatGeek, which says that this is the first time ever that Snapchat incorporated a ticket purchasing experience for its users within its app. The first team to sell tickets through this merger after it came into implementation is the Los Angeles Football Club. The club posted a story and the viewers in order to purchase tickets for the match on 26th of May need to swipe up, where they will further be directed. The whole booking process takes place within the Snapchat app.

Tom Penn, the President and co-founder of the Los Angeles Football Club, in an announcement said: We are always on a constant quest to seek innovative means to reach out to all of our fans. And the fact that Snapchat is one of the most popular social media platforms used globally gives us a fantastic opportunity to connect with our followers and sell tickets to them directly.
