The AdRoll Group has rebranded itself as NextRoll and has subsequently rolled out new services that go beyond its initial ad retargeting services. The company came with the new name to signify the expansion of its services.
The rebranded company has made it clear that it will continue to focus on its initial ad retargeting services and at the same time work on rolling out new services.
Founded in 2006 by Aaron Bell and Jared Kopf, the company offers ad retargeting, social media, and email marketing services to boost the sales of its clients.
Headquartered in San Francisco, the internet advertising company has set up offices in New York, Dublin, Sydney, London, Tokyo, Chicago, and Salt Lake City. Adroll has bagged 37,000 customers globally, generating more than $246 billion in sales annually.
The company rolled out a new product RollWorks that operated under the brand name AdRoll Group. Toby Gabriner, CEO of NextRoll, stated that it was only a temporary arrangement and the company had evolved beyond retargeting.
He further added that it made perfect sense to move onto NextRoll brand since RollWorks had been firmly planted on its own two feet.
“What we have been doing in the last couple of years is externalizing those services so people outside of the company, developers, would have an easier time using them,” revealed Gabriner on the company's journey in introducing the new services.
The initial services include Channels-as-a-service that allows its clients to expand their marketing channels and Audiences-as-a-service that turns audience data into targetable segments.
According to Crunchbase, the internet marketing company has raised a total of $89.6 million to date. NextRoll has three subsidiaries to its name - RollWorks, Userfox, and Growlabs.com Inc.
The company acquired Growlabs last year enable its clients to run multichannel campaigns with automatically sequenced messages. NextRoll revealed that it was gearing up to launch new services.
