MOV.AI Raises $3M In Seed Funding To Create An ‘Android For Robotics

MOV.AI, which is a startup has announced today that it raised an amount of $3M in seed funding to develop the first industry-grade O/S for all the robots which are working on the autonomous intelligent collaborative. As such, MOV.AI is creating an ecosystem where all the people including developers, integrators and manufacturers collaborate to produce smarter robots on a large scale for purpose of operation and production lines.

The round was led one of the leading investors which includes Viola Ventures (, Israel's leading technology investor which is having amount of $2.8 billion assets under management, and NFX (, which is a San Francisco based venture firm founded by entrepreneurs who previously started 10 companies with the market value of $10 Billion.

MOV.AI, which is a ROS compatible operating system, which enables industry-grade deployment of autonomous robot fleets. This is a company which hardware from software, simplifies R&D and field implementation processes, thus making robot automation affordable for all.

The special features, of the MOV.AI which includes easy mapping, robust and autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, cloud-based software-distribution, compliance with safety and cybersecurity's best practices and modern end-user interface, facilitate easy customization making autonomous collaborative robots a commercial reality.

The main target audiences of MOV.AI are manufacturers of material handling equipment, automation integrators, and other collaborative robot manufacturers.
