We have already encountered news of Huawei's phones to come with pre-loaded Truecaller, now lets see what new Honor 7X has to offer.

The key highlights of the new smartphone by Huawei are-

■ The Honor 7X's similarity to the Honor 9i, that was launched just last month at Rs17,999, and features a metal chassis and thin bezel design like 7X. The only difference is a cosmetic one, that is just the position of the cameras. There is only one camera on the front panel and the dual cameras on the back are horizontally placed.

  • There is a thin bezel design with 18:9 aspect ratio, that gives the 5.93-inch screen a wider and highly immersive feeling to the phone. Moreover, it has a resolution of 2,160×1,080p. This new smartphone runs on the new Kirin 659 octa-core processor and is based on a 16nm architecture, for more power efficiency than the other available smartphones along with a 28nm processor.
  •  Huawei has conjoined the processor with 4GB RAM in both 32GB and 64GB variants. 7X users who want more storage can add up to 256GB more via microSD cards. The only drawback is that the microSD card is built on one of the two available SIM trays.
  •  There is another advantage of these thinner bezels, that is that it keeps the smartphone’s size in check. The Honor 7X is 156mm tall and just 75.3mm wide. It weighs about 165g, which is quite low by the standards of a conventional 6-inch screen smartphone.
  • Android Oreo is still not the primary OS version for most phone manufacturers. The Honor 7X is no different to it. It runs on Android 7.0 with Emotion UI on top.
  • The dual cameras on the back include a 16-megapixel sensor for regular photos and a 2-megapixel sensor for shots in portrait and bokeh mode.
  • For connectivity, there is a micro USB slot and 3.5mm jack. Both are placed side by side at the bottom side panel alongside the speaker.
