Maruti Suzuki Invites Startups for Its 4th Cohort Under Its MAIL Program

The automobile giant Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has recently announced the starting of its fourth cohort under its Mobility & Automobile Innovation Lab (MAIL) initiative and open the registrations for innovative startups for participation. Besides, MSIL is presently involved with 9 startups that were selected in the earlier 3 rounds of its initiative. 

In the initial 3 cohorts, several innovative and interested entrepreneurs have registered their startups in the MAIL program. Out of those startups, the best 25 startups from each cohort were shortlisted and invited for the following round. Although the 3rd cohort is still under progress besides, 9 startups are selected from the initial two cohorts under the MAIL program. The interest area of the MAIL program is that it initiates and invites the applicants who are working for the automobile and mobility sectors. 

Maruti Suzuki India Limited launched MAIL in early 2019 to support and encourage budding startups by collaborating to make their innovative ideas as a business solution in the automobile sector. The visionary business solutions will be implemented to make a positive impact on the automobile business. The initiative will essentially help in bringing advancements in technology.

Maruti Suzuki Invites Startups for Its 4th Cohort Under Its MAIL Program

The winners of the MAIL program will get an opportunity to commence a paid Proof Of Concept (POC) with Maruti Suzuki to develop their business solutions for any ongoing use case. Along with this, the startup will also get the opportunity for real-time implementation of its solutions offered. Presently, 7 POCs are making progress in MSIL.

In a statement, Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s CEO Kenichi Ayukawa said, our initiative MAIL is focusing on picking early-stage innovative startups and helping them in transforming their creative ideas into revolutionizing solutions. With our selected 9 outstanding startups, we are looking forward to more unique solutions in the 4th cohort of MAIL.

Maruti Suzuki has collaborated with an Indo-Japanese early-stage seed fund venture firm, GHV Accelerator, to address and identify the budding startups which have innovative, customer-oriented, and practical solutions. All the participating startups will be given the opportunity to implement their innovative ideas practically, along with showcasing their entrepreneurial skills.
