Indian billionaire businessman and Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra, has invested $1 million (about INR 7.5 crore) in Gurugram-based cryptocurrency, blockchain, and social media specialized firm, Hapramp

Hapramp is primeval, which is established by 5 young entrepreneurs and brings together a top-notch composition of technology, creativity, and data protection. In 2018, Mofid Ansari, Rajat Dangi, Pratyush Singh, and Shubhendra Vikram- 5 IIIT-Vadodara students founded Hapramp. The same year, Anand Mahindra had Twitted and announced that a funding opportunity for an Indian social media startup that approaches specific criteria. He had also asked Jaspreet Bindra, an ex-Mahindra executive, to collaborate with him to search a next-generation Indian social network startup.

Jaspreet Bindra said, Hapramp team is developing a Web 3.0 social network. It is created on advanced digital technologies and also has a robust firm business model that protects personal data, rewards content creators, and the best quality that the startup is established and developed in India.

Hapramp had incubated through its initial days by Gurugram-based a sector-agnostic incubator, Huddle. The incubator has also invested in Hapramp.

Additionally, with Hapramp’s flagship GoSocial, a social networking solution, has also operated, a social media platform backed by Asteria Protocol and Steem Blockchain.

Hapramp co-founder Shubhendra Vikram said that they are excited and honored. This investment is a big approval of their mission to offer creators their content right. They have the plan to utilize these funds to an expansion of their platform and to empower creators.

Talking about GoSocial, Shubhendra Vikram said the startup has already gathered 50,000 users in not more than 3 months. The startup enables users to take creative challenges outlined by artists, photographers, designers, and writers to get rewarded.

Shubhendra continued that their current focus is on establishing userbase, and monetization would eventually happen. Their app is available on Google Play Store and soon available on Apple App Store.

He added, they are targeting 1 Lakh users in the coming 3 months and 10 lakh by the end of 2020 in India. They have also planned to take the platform to Southeast Asian countries, and they would look at that in October.

The startup has 12 headcounts spread around the country. However, it has declined to comment on the valuation.
