DustPhotonics, an optical connectivity platform for data centers, high-performance computing and enterprises raised $25M.
The CEO and co-founder of DustPhotonics Ben Rubovitch said that the investment from Intel Capital was an immense honor. The investment would boost the firm’s vision of next-generation optical connectivity.
“Our optical transceiver products address the key and challenging requirements for hyperscale applications, and we will also leverage our electro-optic technology in high-density, future architectures,” he adds.
DustPhotonics develops and manufactures pluggable optical modules and various services for data center, enterprise, and HPC applications.
It became popular in the industry by developing its pretty innovative product, AuraDP™ especially to bring a solution for the latest optical modules problems.
The significant feature of DustPhotonics is coupling the optical signal within the module. DustPhotonics has been getting appreciation from several international clients and investors.
“Today’s data centers demand high-speed optical connectivity to empower the performance scale. The DustPhotonics products complement our leading optical transceiver portfolio through short-reach, standards-based interconnects based on VCSEL technology,” says Hong Hou, Vice President of the Data Center Group and General Manager of the Silicon Photonics division at Intel.
“The core of DustPhotonics aims at high-performance connectivity and it could address the major issues. We are highly impressed by the innovative solutions the company has developed," Founding Managing Partner of WRVI Capital Lip-Bu Tan commented on the finance round.
In recent years, many data centers, enterprises, and 5G network operators are moving towards fiber infrastructure and the money investing is quite huge. The current scenario raises the demand for platforms like Dust Photonics as it brings next-generation solutions.
