Earlier, Sameer and Kevin worked alone to develop this app, but as the startup got accepted onto Y Combinator, the duo formed a team by employing some local tutors from the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, etc.

According to Sameer, Asia is the biggest market for Cambly because of the lack of easily-available English native speakers.
