Cairn Oil and Gas Signs MoU With 5 Digital Startups

Cairn Oil and Gas, a part of Vedanta Limited official, launched DigiXplore 2019 on July 19. The objective of the conference was to come with innovative ways to maximize collaboration and efficiency through digitalization in the oil and gas sector. The program was attended by prominent personalities such as Dr. V.P. Joy, Director General of Hydrocarbons, who presided as the Chief Guest and Mr. Amar Nath, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, who took the honor of delivering the keynote address.

The company also signed MoUs with five digital startup firms to meet their digital marketing needs. Probotiq Solutions Pvt Ltd., Detect Technologies, Simulanis Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Usnatek, and Incedo Technology Solutions Ltd were the five firms that signed the agreement to work with Cairn. Ajay Kumar Dixit, CEO of Cairn Oil and Gas, stated that digitalization would be a key enabler to ensure asset uptime, optimized production, and most important of all, safety. He further went on adding that DigiXplore is an initiative to motivate oil and gas and technology players to come together and to explore ways to deploy their expertise in India’s energy efficiency drive. 

Cairn Oil and Gas With Digital Companies

Anand Laxmivarahan, Chief Digital Officer of Cairn Oil and Gas, expressed her gratitude and excitement with regards to the overwhelming response from the attendees and also the support provided by the stakeholders and partners. She quoted. “We embarked on Project Digital NIRMAN last year, to bring in digital-led business transformation at Cairn.” The industry is undergoing a transformation on a global scale with the emerging trends in digitalization.

The conference focused on three themes, reducing time-to-first oil, growing assets through digital intelligence and digital interventions in operational excellence. The conference was a huge success and saw participation from companies across various sectors. Oil India Limited, Indian Oil Corporation, Amazon Web Services, Wipro, Honeywell were some of the attendees.
