Volkswagen, the car maker, has announced its next generation car Polo which will make it official debut on June 16, 2017. The brand new Polo will be showcased at a special event in Berlin and will be telecast live across the globe via the Volkswagen live streams.
The brand new car is the sixth-generation version of Volkswagens’ Supermini and is likely to be more of an evolution from the current car than a total design revolution. Due to the larger body, the new model is expected to be more spacious inside.
No official pictures have been captured of this new Volkswagen's car, but the 2017 Polo is larger than its predecessor.
The major upgrade that the Polo will get on the inside includes a fully digital instrument cluster and an Active info display of 12.3-inch. In terms of dimensions, this new model will be longer by 81mm, 61mm in width and 97mm reduced in height as well as increased by 90mm in wheelbase than the existing Polo model.
The new upcoming model of Polo will be powered by a 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder petrol engine and will be packed in two tune of power – 93 hp and 113 hp. The second petrol unit will be available with a 1.5-litre TSI Evo four-cylinder that makes 148 hp. The diesel variants will have 1.6 litres TDI four-cylinder unit that will deliver 78 hp and 93 hp of power. It is predicted that 2017 Polo might get 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine that produces power of73 hp.
On the exterior, the front bumper and headlights appear to be new, with distinct W-shaped indicators and a grille that will sports a top lip. Meanwhile, the rear of the car is not somewhat as curvaceous as it was before, with a flatter rear window and hatchback boot. But the new engines, as well as fresh technology under the skin and in the cabin, will define the new Volkswagen's Polo.
