As the leading cannabis retail management platform, Green Bits’ CEO Ben Curren has stepped down from his position, the new CEO will be the industry veteran Barry Saik. However, Ben Curren will stay in the firm as the executive chairman.
Andrew Katz, Ben Curren, and Trae Robrock together founded Green Bits in early 2014. It is based in Silicon Valley and has its offices in San Jose, California, Portland, and Oregon. Green Bits is the leading cannabis retail management and point-of-sale platform that helps licensed retailers grow their business.
Tiger Global Management and Casa Verde Capital are the backbones of Green Bits. Recently, the startup has raised $17 million in its Series A funding. It serves more than 1,000 cannabis retailers around the United States. On an average its annual revenue count is more than $3.5 billion.
On this occasion, Ben Curren said, he is a consistent entrepreneur and skillful starter. It was always his plan to make the company grow with scaling the business to another level. Barry Saik is the best person to hand over the reins to expand the count of employees by 10 times and spreading the business. He also mentioned that he would remain involved in the company and focus on engineering and innovation services.
Ben is one of the gems of software technologies with almost 10 years of excellence and passion for innovative software development. He is responsible for the fastest-growing Point Of Sale (POS) inventory software of Green Bits.
Barry Saik was COO at the US-based AI-powered healthcare startup named HealthTap and former Sr. VP at GoDaddy. Barry Saik has long-time experience in senior roles as a business leader and development of production and business models.
As the new CEO of Green Bits, he said that the company was always looking for new investors and hire new people. Interestingly, this sector is gaining huge interest from the investment community.
