Autify Raises $2.5M For Its AI-Based Software Testing Automation

Autify, a Japanese software testing team backed by Alchemist Accelerator graduation, has raised a seed funding of USD 2.5M by Global Brain Corporation, Salesforce Ventures, Archetype Ventures, and other individual investors.

Autify has launched its AI-powered software testing automation platform, globally. Including this round and the pre-seed funding, the total capital reached USD 3.07 million.

The Japanese software team founded Locki Inc. in 2016. In 2018 the startup selected for the Alchemist Accelerator program in the US. It is the first Japanese team selected by the leading startup accelerator. In January 2019, the firm renamed to Autify. 

As it launched the closed beta version of Autify in March, over 150 companies in the US requested for the demo. It has been introduced by several fast-growing startups and publicly listed companies.

The initial capital will be used for product development and sales system. 

In the beginning phase, Autify will devote to product development. Now, it has headquarters in San Francisco, USA, and Tokyo, Japan. 

By introducing the AI-powered software testing automation platform, Autify aims at solving two major issues in the software development sector.

Firstly, the shortage of engineers expertized in automating their testing scenarios, and it affects productivity as a lack of people in the automation of testing.

Secondly, quite expensive automation code maintenance. As the UI and specifications change frequently, it’s not easy to modify the code in an agile environment.

Autify claims that its platform will be pretty simple that even non-engineers can handle it. The user doesn’t need to write programming codes to automate the testing let AI does that.

AI also manages the code modification to fasten testing scenarios. Complex applications developed using a lot of JavaScript will also be simplified with the support of AI. 

Autify said that it would give replies to all the confusion of the demo users. It has started monthly and annual plans to choose.
